Philadelphia’s explosive wide receiver, DeSean Jackson, took a hit today that was so vicious he doesn’t even remember it.

Per FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, Jackson suffered a severe concussion along with memory loss after Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson nearly took his head off on a downright frightening hit. The injury occurred in the second quarter of the Eagles win over the Falcons when the two collided following a pass from quarterback Kevin Kolb that led his receiver a little too far.

Jackson laid on the ground motionless for several minutes with both teams huddled around him before being helped off the field. Robinson received a 15-yard penalty.

Seeing as how this is the second concussion that Jackson’s suffered in one year’s time, it’s safe to say he’ll be out for a week or two at the minimum. While more tests will be run in the coming days, Jason Avant will slide into the starting spot opposite Jeremy Maclin.
