Drew Brees treats fans to celebratory sandwiches

Not long after officially becoming New Orleans’ $100 million man, Drew Brees grabbed some grub to celebrate. Whereas most high-profile athletes — with the lone exception of Chad Ochocinco — would choose to dine alone, Brees personally invited the locals out to his Jimmy John’s sandwich shop, which he opened last year.

(For the record, the aptly-named No. 9 comes with Genoa salami, Italian capicola, smoked ham, and provolone cheese, all topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and homemade Italian vinaigrette.)

Following his delicious chow down and photo op with fans, Brees left for the airport, but not without tweeting a message to Who Dat Nation.

People can hem and haw all they want over his new-found wealth, but Brees is simply invaluable to the community and displays such as these prove his character and humility transcend anything that happens on the football field.

Why in the world did greedy Benson take soo long to give Drew his money ? If you had taken that long to pay your note on one of his raggedy ass automobiles he would have really been upset. For a man that likes to Second Line ,if he had not given Drew his money he would have never danced again.I guess he has taken winning for granted,he has forgotten how long he was a loser.
