Who’s In, Who’s Out — 2012 NFL Week 8

Each Sunday, in the minutes leading up to kickoff, I will be listing which notable players — possibly injured and/or on the bubble during the week — will and won’t be suiting up for action. Set your fantasy lineups accordingly.

Cleveland Browns — RB Trent Richardson (ribs) is ACTIVE and will play.

Detroit Lions — WR Calvin Johnson (knee) is ACTIVE and will play.

New England Patriots — WR Brandon Lloyd (knee) is ACTIVE and will play. TE Aaron Hernandez is INACTIVE.

Indianapolis Colts — RB Donald Brown (knee) is ACTIVE and will play.

Jacksonville Jaguars — QB Blaine Gabbert (shoulder) is ACTIVE and will start. RB Maurice Jones-Drew (foot) is INACTIVE.

Washington Redskins — LB London Fletcher (hamstring) is ACTIVE and will play.

Green Bay Packers — WR Jordy Nelson (hamstring) is INACTIVE.

St. Louis Rams — WR Danny Amendola (collarbone) is INACTIVE.

Pittsburgh Steelers — RBs Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman are INACTIVE.

New York Jets — LB Bart Scott (toe) is INACTIVE.

Analysis: Not too many surprises here. Richardson figures to receive a plentiful amount of carries with bad weather encompassing Cleveland. With Nelson out, Randall Cobb will start in his place and lately is one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite targets. Jonathan Dwyer will start for the Steelers. Shame for Scott, whose streak of 119 consecutive starts comes to an end. Fletcher — he of the 221 consecutive games streak — is a certified beast.
