Like Drew Brees before him, Joe Flacco’s first order of business after signing a mammoth contract was to chow down.

The Ravens’ Super Bowl-winning quarterback, who officially became the richest player in NFL history Monday, celebrated his newfound wealth with good ol’ Mickey D’s.

Flacco pulled up to a McDonald’s drive-thru in Aberdeen, Md., about 40 miles from the team’s facility, and ordered a a 10-piece McNugget meal, with fries and an unsweetened iced tea.

The order came to $6.99, but it was quite the unusual one for Sherry Norman, a diehard Ravens fan who, following the initial stun, snapped a photo of the $120.6 million man.

“I kept saying to the people I work with, ‘Doesn’t that look like Joe Flacco?,’ ” Norman said, via ESPN.com. “And then he turned towards the window and it was him.”

This clearly proves Flacco is just like us everyday folk. Minus the, you know, $52 million in guarantees and all.

Flacco is not worth this kind of money. He is too inconsistent. He had a great run with a much improved offense, but I would hesitate to give this kind of money to someone who has the propensity to choke.

CHOKE !!!!………..Flacco threw 11 TD’s, NO interceptions’ in the playoffs. No telling
what he would have done, if he didn’t choke…….Playoffs, 5 years in a row. Get over it, the rest of the Quarterbacks set the bar for the pay scale. Not saying the man is the best, that is coming. By the way i am a Raven fan………

Joe Flacco is one hell of a warrior. As for the previous negative comments by Greg O., are ya feeling kinda small, or what? Stand tall and throw accurately with a ton of angry flesh coming your way, and then run that MOUTH.

I really dont think anyone who hasnt play sports at this level ,with all the pressures that are ever present , have any right to criticize .. Were all happy and fortunate to have Joe a Raven and are looking forward to his sucesses in the coming years!!!!

I think Joe deserves his props for his much improved play, but he’s hardly the best ever, but he’s sure getting paid like it now. Good QB’s are hard to find and I guess the Ravens didn’t want to take that chance by losing him. We’ll see if he justifies it.

Why do we pay men who wear a football helmet that kind of money.? But the real hero’s who wear military helmets are lucky to pull in maybe 45k a year. I love my football, but I love my military much more. Sorry Joe. But no way do you deserve that kind of dough……

it’s crazy why any athlete gets paid multi-millions. i think players should get paid according to how they play…but millions?, no way. but, it is what it is. yes, barbara has a excelent point. the families who have lost loved one’s defending our country should be paid better. soilders who defend the professional athlete’s freedom to make these millions. it’s a crazy world!

I agree. These athletes make way too much money. Teachers, firemen and our military deserve way more than what they get paid to do. How do the athletes get where they are. Not without the help of teachers. The military keeps us safe. He’s a good qb but he’s not great. Yes he is inconsistent. Who’s going to really pay his salary, The fans. The prices of tickets, food and drinks and his jersey will go up. Is that fair to the fans hell no.

Are ppl really still using this argument???? In 2013??
Such a non sens comment.
Its business!!! You’re a football fan…so you mosdef know the “It is what it is!” response!
Well…it is what it is!
Yes its crazy!Do they deserve that kind of money???Football (and others pro sport) being part of this entertainment business…I have to say yes!!
Even crazier imo,is to ear an American ( US being the free entreprise paradise )compare a pro athlete’s salary to a soldier’s one!

He is getting paid what the market will bear. He has been a consistent winner ever since he went to U of D. I think he was an accounting major . . . guess that will really help him now ! PS; Great game management skills and he delivered w/ Big plays when the Big games (Peyton , Brady) were on the line. Great effort by the Ravens to retain him !

Haters will hate. It doesnt matter what he has done or will do in the future. Winning the superbowl comes with benefits bottom line.
