Chris Kluwe tweets reaction to Vikings drafting a punter

All people react differently when faced with awkward situations. Some choose to clam up or lash out, while others do their best to take it in stride.

Vikings punter Chris Kluwe opts for comedic relief.

During Saturday’s fifth round of the NFL draft, the Vikings chose Jeff Locke, a — you guessed it — punter out of UCLA.

Seeing as how teams rarely burn picks on punters or kickers, it’s certainly an ominous sign for Kluwe. ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reported this “probably means the end” of his eight-year career in Minnesota.

But the 31-year-old, who’s known as something of a joker, tweeted a humorous reaction to the selection of Locke, who ironically shares an alma mater with Kluwe.

He should hope he doesn’t go the way of Globo-Gym.

Compitition breeds success!! Minnesota will do fine if Kluwe and his mouth end up retired or on another team.

I hope Kluwe stays, he is a decent player and shows good morals unlike several other players, keep players like Kluwe and we won’t have another “love boat”

overpaid, underperforming and overage is never a good combination- throw in a very public opinion and……you are cut for a better, less expensive option
