Bengals to appear on ‘Hard Knocks’

Marvin Lewis and Co. are returning to HBO.

Citing league sources, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Bengals have been tabbed to star on this year’s “Hard Knocks” series.

An official announcement from HBO and the NFL is expected “sometime next week.”

This will mark the second time in five seasons that the Bengals have appeared on the award-winning show; they were featured in 2009, and went on to win the AFC North with a 10-6 record.

Although Chad Ochocinco Johnson is no longer around, Cincy still will have its fair share of storylines, especially in the wake of Pacman Jonesrecent arrest.

The Bengals join the Cowboys as the only teams to appear on ‘Hard Knocks’ twice. Considering last year’s failed turnout, HBO should be happy to once again find an interested taker.
