Nick Mangold finds amusement in Patriots’ troubles

To put it kindly, the Patriots have not had an easy week.

Between Rob Gronkowski’s latest surgery — and unclear return date — to fellow tight end Aaron Hernandez’s alleged connection in an ongoing homicide investigation, Bill Belichick’s plate is full.

But don’t expect sympathy for New England’s coach, especially not from a rival player like Nick Mangold, who admits finding amusement in the Pats’ plight.

“I bet Bill [Belichick] is losing his mind right now,” the Jets’ veteran center told the New York Post.

It’s easy to kick a dog while it’s down, but to be fair to Mangold, there aren’t many times that he can get his yucks in at the Patriots’ expense. Not without being reminded of a certain Butt Fumble, anyway.
