Giants’ Chris Snee takes dig at Jets

New day, same Big Apple rivalry.

On Monday, it was reported that Giants general manager Jerry Reese was installing a clock in the team’s locker room which will count down the minutes until Super Bowl 48 at MetLife Stadium.

Reese wants to “create a sense of urgency” for his squad, but the tactic is unmistakably like something Rex Ryan and the Jets would pull.

Just don’t tell Giants guard Chris Snee.

“I would never, ever compare Jerry Reese to anything associated with the Jets,” Snee said, via the New York Daily News.

Both Big Blue and Gang Green will look to become the first team (or teams) to host a Super Bowl on its home turf. Although they don’t play each other in the regular season, their annual preseason tilt will take place on August 24.

Until then, it’s only a matter of time before Ryan and Co. respond with a barb of their own.

Tick, tock.
