Bart Scott joins CBS’ NFL pregame show

At one time, Bart Scott detested the media, even going so far as leading a locker room mutiny against reporters.

Now, in an ironic twist, Scott has become the media.

Per, the ex-Jets linebacker has joined the cast of CBS’ new NFL pregame show, aptly titled, “That Other Pregame Show.” Scott will work alongside former Raiders CEO Amy Trask as an analyst on the four-hour show, which runs every Sunday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

The 33-year-old Scott has drawn next to no interest since the Jets released him in February. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported last week that Scott was close to choosing a new team, but talks presumably have fallen through.

He’s seemingly closed the door on his playing days.

And, while he had the chance, also cleared the air with his new counterparts.

If indeed this is the end of the line for Scott, he finishes an 11-year career with 732 tackles, 25 sacks, six forced fumbles, and four interceptions. His best season came with the Ravens in 2006, when he was selected to his lone Pro Bowl.

And now, I leave you all with this …
