Tim Tebow banner flies over Jaguars game (Photo)

The Jaguars are in a hopeless quarterback situation, yet refuse to give any serious interest to signing Tim Tebow.

Fans, however, are keeping hope alive.

During the second quarter of the Colts-Jaguars game on Sunday, a plane towing a “Tebow, why not?” banner was spotted flying over EverBank Field.

The spectacle was expected, as a Tebow fan group organized the flyover in hopes of persuading the organization into signing the blackballed quarterback.

“My goal is to dispel the negativity surrounding the Jaguars and Tim Tebow in hopes the people will see the opportunity the team has. I really believe this is a win-win scenario,” Eric Holshouser, the head of the Jags4Tebow group, said in an open letter.

The Jags appear content with Blaine Gabbert and Chad Henne at the controls in what some are calling a tank season.

But, hey, ‘A’ for effort on the banner, guys.
