Redskins OL claims referees called him ‘fat a** garbage’

Sour grapes or legitimate gripe? You decide.

Following the Redskins’ 24-16 loss to the Eagles on Sunday, offensive lineman Trent Williams unloaded on the referees, who were supposedly calling him “fat a** garbage” during the game.

Williams went on to claim that Walt Coleman’s “unprofessional” crew got into the Skins’ psyche.

And not even his teammates could calm him down.

One teammate, however, confirmed he heard the refs’ namecalling.

Want proof? Williams says to just look at the tape.

There are many reasons for Washington’s loss today — namely lackluster defense, questionable playcalling, and a baffling game-ending interception by Robert Griffin III, all of which the refs had nothing to do with. But the burden of truth will indeed come with the tape.

If Williams is proved correct — that this type of verbal behavior took place — Roger Goodell has to consider punishment for the zebras involved.
