RG3’s dad checked on son in locker room after game

After a Monday night performance that epitomized his sophomore season — a kick below the beltRobert Griffin III was part frustrated, part embarrassed in an awkward press conference with reporters.

Those emotions evidently carried over to the locker room, where the Redskins’ slumping quarterback was greeted by the elder Griffin.

Nice of pop to pay a visit, but words can do little to undo the regression of RG3, who threw for just 127 yards and an interception in Monday night’s blowout loss to the Niners.

Perhaps more alarming, Griffin III was sacked four times and hit throughout the evening, as Washington dropped to 3-8, their playoff hopes crushed.

Hope RG2 relayed it’s too little too late.

Since we lost to the eagles,i felt and still feel that we will not win another game this season. All the Shanahans and the other coaches should be fired,Jon Gruden would be a good man to coach us.

I felt the same way and I can not beleive that they STILL have not played Cousins!!

  • First of all the offensive line needs to be replace. The play calling does not fit RG3’s style of play. Last year they had the offensive line form a moving pocket. The defense now stops the roll out, forces him to move into a pocket that is in our backfield before he gets the ball. Our tight ends and wide receivers are under used. And do they have any plays for the running back coming out of the backfield? No adjustments are made to counteract these problems.

Might I suggest: Perhaps this would be an opportune moment for the much debated name change. What better time [this year] to lift the curse and start anew in 2014…

Really …..how many more athletic ( see code) quarterbacks do I have to watch revolutionize the NFL….its almost as if the media particularly ESPN has vested interest in seeing an athletic quarterback ( see code) succeed….my God Mel kiper has some of these guys in the hall of fame before the ink is dry on their contracts….
Really Mel….a kid runs the read option in college and you think that transfers….
Really you think a 32- 33 year old quarterback can win running the football …when was the last time Vick played a complete season Mel are you suggesting quarterbacks have the same shelf life as running backs….you win with you arm and use your legs to get you out of trouble not in over your head

i think they should trade rg3 in the off season for a high first round and draft mike evans the wr from the aggies. kirk cousin should start qb, morris at rb, reed at tight end, garcon and evans at wrs. we would be set for years to come
