Bengals’ Peko has sandwich named after him (Video)

Eight years of solid play for the Bengals has earned Domata Peko a bit of local lore.

Izzy’s, which is Cincinnati’s self-proclaimed purveyor of the “world’s greatest Reubens,” unveiled the Peko Sandwich on Thursday.

Fitting crafted in honor of the mammoth defensive tackle, the sandwich contains corned beef, goetta, provolone cheese, and Izzy’s special sauce, all housed between two slices of Ciabatta bread.

The 6-foot-3, 322-pound Peko was on hand to join Izzy’s “Wall of Fame” and, of course, scarf down his favorite treat.

“This is the best thing I like to eat. Go to Izzy’s and get yourself a Peko Sandwich, man. It’s awesome!” he said, via FOX19.com.

We’ll take his word for it.
