Coby Fleener changes Twitter handle, alerts fantasy owners

Coby Fleener is a man of the people.

On Thursday night, the Colts tight end announced he had changed his Twitter handle — going the Madonna route — and made sure to keep his fantasy football owners informed.

Fleener, of course, is being tongue-in-cheek here. As Torrey Smith or Brandon Jacobs can attest to, fantasy football fans take their hobby very seriously, even going so far as sending players death threats via social media.

Luckily, Fleener shouldn’t have much to worry about. He’s coming off a solid 2013 campaign (52 catches for 608 yards and four touchdowns) and has proven to be a security blanket for franchise quarterback Andrew Luck.

Though he’ll open up his third season behind Dwayne Allen on the depth chart, Fleener is expected to take another positive step in 2014.

But just in case he doesn’t, you know where to direct your hatred lovely comments.
