Sammy Watkins tweets custom Lions jersey (Photo)

Hintity, hint, hint, hint. Sammy Watkins may want to play in the Motor City.

The former Clemson star and top-rated receiver in this year’s draft class took to social media on Monday to post a custom Lions jersey with his name on it.

This isn’t the first time, either. Last week, Watkins posted a photo featuring him and Lions superstar wideout Calvin Johnson side-by side.

Fortunately, the interest is mutual. Detroit reportedly has “a ton of interest” in Watkins following his recent Pro Day, when he dazzled NFL brass with his speed and athleticism.

The Lions currently hold the No. 10 overall pick, but Watkins — a projected top-five selection in various mock drafts — likely won’t drop that far. Lions GM Martin Mayhew may have to trade up a few spots to make Watkins’ hopes come true.
