Mike Evans favored to win Offensive Rookie of the Year

Sammy Watkins edged out Mike Evans as the draft’s top wide receiver, but it’s Evans, Las Vegas oddsmakers say, who will take home the hardware in 2014.

On Monday, Bovada Sportsbook installed the Buccaneers’ new wideout as the 3/1 favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Paired with fellow 6-foot-5 receiver Vincent Jackson, Evans, the No. 7 overall pick, will help form one of the league’s most imposing duos, as Tampa Bay looks to improve its last-ranked offense.

Watkins, the Bills’ pick at No. 4 overall, was a close second choice for Bovada, coming in as the 4/1 favorite for OROY. Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is listed third with 15/2 odds.

Panthers receiver Kelvin Benjamin (12/1) and Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (12/1) rounded out the top five.
