Rams ‘rolling back’ beer, hot dog prices to year 1999

St. Louis, are you ready to party like it’s 1999?

In a nod to the “Greatest Show on Turf,” the Rams will be offering throwback specials on beer and hot dogs during Monday night’s home game against the 49ers.

Five bucks for a dog and two beers? Unlike the Rams, that can’t be beaten.

If you’re wondering why they’re “rolling back” to last century, it’s because those involved in the Greatest Show  — champions of Super Bowl XXXIV — will be honored in recognition of its 15th anniversary. Fans coming to the game are strongly encouraged to wear throwback jerseys, a reminder that they’ve all seen better days.

Perhaps reinforced by the junior varsity-esque ticket prices, the last-place Rams are grasping at straws to keep alive their moribund fan morale.
