Josh Cribbs tweets return to NFL is ‘coming soon’

On Tuesday night, a news nugget on Josh Cribbs (remember that guy?) popped up. Evidently, he had a tryout with the Colts.

Around the same time, Cribbs sent out a tweet about his return to the NFL, hinting at a transaction that may currently be pending in Indianapolis.

Cribbs’ last NFL stint came with the Jets in 2013. Like the rest of his Gang Green teammates that year, Cribbs didn’t find much success, however. You probably know him better for his days (2005-12) as a kick-returner for the Browns — three-time Pro Bowler, two-time All-Pro, one-time Browns team MVP (2009).

Cribbs, 31, hasn’t received even the scantest bit of interest since the Jets let him walk him this offseason. Hope that tryout went well.
